Welcome to Partners-In-Composition. More than likely, you’ve come here because you’re thinking about getting help with a writing project you’re working on. However, before getting into more detail about our services and how we might be able to help you, I think it’s important for you to learn a little bit about me and my company.

Prior to founding Partners-In-Composition (PIC), I spent over 35 years in “Corporate America” as a senior executive responsible for sales, marketing, advertising, public relations, brand marketing, administration, operations, customer service, and contract preparation and negotiation. My career experience is worldwide and comes from working for a variety of companies ranging in size from early stage start-ups to Fortune 50 industry leaders, including AT&T, IBM, Nokia Internet Communications, Informatics General, SofTech Microsystems, Signal Technology, Memco Software, and RDI Computer Corporation. My academic background includes an undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin (Madison), where I majored in Human Resources and Marketing Communications with minors in English, psychology, and economics. I also have taken numerous post graduate courses in corporate law, sales, marketing, strategic planning, interpersonal communications, psychology, and creative writing in order to complement my career efforts.

Throughout my business career and adult life, my passion has been writing. More accurately stated, my true passion is writing well. I am not pleased with, nor proud of, anything I write until every word has been spelled and used correctly; until every punctuation mark has been appropriately used in the right place; until every written passage consists of proper grammatical structure; until every sentence in every paragraph is constructed correctly and verbs are consistent with their subjects; until my message is clear and concise; until the formatting and style are consistent throughout the writing; and until every fact, quotation, and reference has been verified. Although I believe “absolute perfection” is unattainable, I want everything I write to be as close to “perfect” as is humanly possible. And I strongly believe you should expect no less “perfection” from your work, as well.

My rationale for the above lead-in is to help you feel comfortable with me, PIC, our people, and the services we provide should we decide to work together. More important, I want you to have confidence in our ability to produce the high quality results you should expect from us. From my perspective, I can assure you that you and your submitted projects will be in the best possible hands. As you will learn from exploring the content of our site, we know what we’re doing, and what we do, we do exceptionally well. The testimonials from our clients will attest to this.

Writing well is one of the most important skills we should have. Yet, in virtually every piece of written material I see, there are numerous examples of poor writing skills that not only destroy the author’s image and credibility, but also frustrate the intended audience because the message is unclear and confusing. Some of these mistakes are merely inadvertent and careless. Others stem purely from a lack of knowledge as to what correct and proper writing conventions, styles, and structures should be. However, regardless of “why” these written mistakes occur, the fact remains they do, – and this is precisely why I founded PIC: to help people improve the quality of their written work so they can achieve a positive impact on their target audience.
